It is a great honour and privilege to announce the First International Conference of Aerospace Medicine ICAM 2022, scheduled to take place in Paris, France, September 22-24, 2022.

The ongoing COVID-19 pandemic has had dramatic consequences throughout the world. As countries struggled to contain the spread of the coronavirus, many national and international scientific, economic, cultural, and sporting events were cancelled or delayed in 2020/21. it is in that context that our Organization Committee took the difficult, but necessary, decision to postpone the First International Conference of Aerospace Medicine, initially to be held in Paris, France, 24-26 September 2020.

We look forward to seeing you at the conference, in complete health safety!

Situated at the heart of Europe, Paris is easily reached by air thanks to its two international airports, Paris-Charles-de-Gaulle and Paris-Orly, connecting the French capital to 557 cities in 132 countries. The city’s 16 metro (subway) lines and 5 RER commuter rail lines, as well as its extensive bus services and a growing number of tram lines, make it handy and quick to get around Paris and its surroundings.

Paris has inspired artists, writers, and musicians throughout the ages. The legendary City of Light is also a vibrant 21st-century capital, with its world-famous exhibitions, French food culture combining tradition and inovation. Paris boasts beautiful historical monuments, like the Eiffel Tower, Sacré-Coeur basilica, Arc de Triomphe, and Notre-Dame cathedral—the latter soon to regain its past splendor after the terrible fire that partly devastated it in 2019. Paris also boasts avant-garde architecture, like the Pompidou Center, Philharmonie de Paris concert hall, and the Pei glass pyramid in the Louvre Museum courtyard. The busy stores and sidewalk cafés greatly contribute to the charm of the city, make sure to enjoy them!

On behalf of the ICAM 2022 Organization Committee members, I wish to welcome all future attendees, exhibitors, and sponsors.
